The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Supervisory Team for the Promotion of Omani Products “OPEX”, has commenced its participation in the third edition of Saudi Food Show, inaugurated on Monday in Riyadh under the patronage of His Excellency Bandar bin Ibrahim Alkhorayef, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources. This year, the Sultanate is participating with 15 government and private bodies, joining exhibitors from 104 countries and over 1,300 global brands from across the food and beverage industry.

Khalid Al Salehi, Director General of Marketing and Commercial Affairs at Madayn, emphasised that the Sultanate of Oman’s participation in Saudi Food Show 2025 aligns with a comprehensive plan to promote national products and attract international investments. “The OPEX team, featuring the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates “Madayn”, Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), and the SMEs Development Authority, has developed a strategic plan for 2025 aimed at exploring new markets, promoting Omani products, and facilitating global partnerships, and supporting the SMEs by providing a platform to showcase their products and connect with international investors,” Al Salehi said, adding: “The plan also aims to attract foreign investments by highlighting available investment opportunities across various sectors, build strategic partnerships with global companies, strengthen trade ties, and boost trade exchange volume.”
Al Salehi elaborated that the 2025 plan focuses on participation through national pavilions or bilateral business meetings across key sectors, including food sector, building materials, stone and marble, technology and smart services, and entrepreneurship and innovative products, in alignment with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
He added that the Sultanate’s participation in the Saudi Food Show 2025 is an integral part of this marketing plan. Through this event, the OPEX team aims to provide a valuable platform for the Omani participants to achieve strategic goals, including establishing partnerships and business opportunities in the food and beverage sector, exploring the latest solutions for the sector’s development, and engaging with key industry players from around the globe. Moreover, this participation seeks to explore new consumer segments at regional and global levels, while showcasing the incentives and facilities the Sultanate of Oman offers to investors across its governorates, ultimately contributing to the growth of the local economy.
The Sultanate’s pavilion in Saudi Food Show 2025 features Madayn, Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources, Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the SMEs Development Authority and Salalah Free Zone. The pavilion also features a strong presence of Omani food industry leaders, including Areej Vegetable Oils and Derivatives, Omani Gulf Food Company, Oman Foodstuff Factory (Al Mudhish), First Gulf Trading, Muscat United Food Industries, Al Bahja Group, Bin Al Zafna Group, Sharaa Dates, and Zamzam International Company.
The participating companies are reaffirming their commitment to elevating the competitiveness of Omani products and broadening their footprint in international markets. In addition to showcasing their innovative manufacturing technologies, the companies are keen to engage with international industry leaders, unlocking new partnerships and exploring opportunities for strategic business deals.
It is noteworthy that this year’s edition of the Saudi Food Show has seen a significant expansion, presenting six exhibition halls and a larger number of international experts and exhibitors spotlighting their products, services, and solutions to prominent buyers from around the world. The exhibition serves as a key platform for global trade exchange, connecting suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and service providers, enabling them to showcase their latest offerings, exchange ideas and strategies, and explore promising business opportunities across various fields, including meat, poultry, legumes, grains, dairy products, oils, and global food and beverage products.
