Samail Industrial City is one of the newest industrial cities affiliated with the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn) and is the closest industrial city to the capital, Muscat. It is located in the Wilayat of Samail in Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, representing a link between Muscat, Al Dakhiliyah and Al Sharqiyah governorates, which gives it an added advantage. The industrial city has been designed according to the latest international standards, taking into account the environmental requirements and civil defense requirements, without neglecting the social and recreational aspects for workers and residents of the Wilayat. The current total area of the industrial city is 7.6 million square meters. It has been divided into different industrial sectors: the food industry sector, the iron sector, the aluminum and furniture industry sector, the plastics and petrochemicals industry sector, the marble industry sector, the warehouse sector, and the support services sector and the building materials industry sector. Furthermore, the city is adjacent to Al Sharqiyah Expressway, which has three lanes, contributing logistically to land transport operations between the city and other destinations.
The population density is about 40,000 people.
