Madayn enjoys administrative and financial independence, and has a board of directors, which is responsible for drawing up the policies to achieve the objectives for which it was established. Madayn provides all infrastructure services such as electricity, water, gas, paved road networks, communications, postage and sewage. Additionally, Madayn contributes actively to the promotion of national products through ‘Made in Oman’ Campaign, and participation in foreign exhibitions and various media means. Madayn also organises awareness events and training programmes in order to promote industrial awareness among investors.
Research and Innovation
In order to contribute to the development of local industries, maintain their competitiveness, and develop and promote industries based on the outputs of research and scientific innovation, it was necessary to initiate a hub for research and innovation. Accordingly, Madayn in cooperation with The Research Council established Industrial Innovation Centre (IIC) in Rusayl Industrial Cities to serve the industrialists through conducting studies and industrial research, providing technical consultations, and developing solutions to improve products, raise their quality and reduce their cost. The centre aims at disseminating the culture of innovation in the industrial sector, identifying industrial areas that need research and innovation, providing studies and research, scientific and practical consultations, identifying the problems and challenges facing the industry, assisting the small and medium enterprises to develop their products, and creating new industrial ideas and innovations. It should be noted that Madayn has transformed the centre into a company.
